Marvel Contest of Champions is rolling out an array of thrilling updates and new content for April, spotlighting the arrival of the fascinating Spider-Woman and the formidable Lumatrix.

The Intriguing Tale of Spider-Woman in Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, whose real name is Jessica Drew, enters the fray with a compelling origin story. As a young girl, she fell ill due to uranium exposure near her home. In a desperate bid to save her, her father, a brilliant geneticist, conducted a groundbreaking experiment, injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery period, Jessica not only overcame the initial adverse effects but also emerged with remarkable spider-like abilities, eventually embracing her destiny as Spider-Woman. Players can look forward to adding her to their roster starting April 17th.

Introducing Lumatrix: A New Threat

Before Spider-Woman's debut, Marvel Contest of Champions introduces Lumatrix on April 9th. Designed by the enigmatic Founders, Lumatrix is touted as one of the deadliest assassins ever created. With his mission to infiltrate and eliminate using dazzling light-based powers, he promises to add a new layer of challenge and excitement to the game.

What Else Is Coming to Marvel Contest of Champions?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, dubbed "Inquisition," unfolds with gripping developments. Carina suffers severe injuries after clashing with Ouroborus' forces, while Doctor Doom surprisingly allies with the Fantastic Four. The ominous spread of Chronoserpent corruption introduces a new villain, Lotan, further escalating the stakes.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," kicks off on April 9th and runs through May 7th. In this quest, Black Widow delves into the mystery surrounding the Eidols, enlisting Spider-Woman's help to unravel the enigma.

Dark Phoenix returns to the fray in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties." Players must track down champions targeted by her bounties to claim lucrative rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, challenging players to assemble their most potent Saga champions to battle through for Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
