Star Wars Celebration just dropped some thrilling updates about the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu expansion for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. The reveal included exciting details like Engineers getting to interact with everyone's favorite green child and the addition of Coruscant as a new destination - joining fan-favorite planets like Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor in this immersive choose-your-own-adventure experience.

The Mandalorian Takes Flight in New Adventure

Mark your calendars for May 22, 2026! This major Smuggler's Run update will chart its own course separate from The Mandalorian & Grogu movie while still featuring Din Djarin and his tiny companion in fresh, exciting ways. The story kicks off when everyone's favorite pirate Hondo Ohnaka uncovers shady dealings between ex-Imperial officers and pirates on Tatooine - launching players into a galaxy-wide chase. Visitors will partner with Mando and Grogu to track down these criminals while chasing bounty rewards across dynamically changing destinations.

While full details remain under wraps, we know Engineers get an especially sweet deal - they'll be responsible for babysitting Grogu during the mission. Because honestly, what could top getting to watch over the galaxy's most adorable Force-user?

We caught up with Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama for exclusive insights. He revealed players will actually communicate with Grogu during missions: "There might be moments when Mando has to leave the Razor Crest," Kalama teased with a grin, "and let's just say a certain little troublemaker left alone with the controls might get a bit too enthusiastic."

The choose-your-own-adventure elements promise genuine tension too. Kalama explained there'll be critical moments where "you're racing against the clock to make split-second decisions about which bounty to pursue - and that choice determines which planetary destinations your crew visits next."
