With Elden Ring Nightreign just days from release, FromSoftware developers confirm they are "constantly refining and balancing the game." In a May 27 interview with GamesRadar+, Director Junya Ishizaki shared his mix of excitement and nerves as the launch approaches.

Despite the pressure, he expressed confidence in the title, emphasizing the team's relentless efforts to improve the experience. Ishizaki noted, "We push to adjust elements until the final moments. Our focus is on meticulous fine-tuning, maximizing every play session. We aim for players to feel satisfaction and ease in each encounter, striving for optimal comfort and gameplay feel until the very end."

While FromSoftware is celebrated for its single-player Souls titles, the studio has previous multiplayer experience from the Dark Souls and Armored Core franchises. Nightreign, however, represents their most co-op-focused project to date, making careful balancing essential for an engaging and successful release.

Official Launch Trailer Introduces Revenant

On May 27, Elden Ring Nightreign debuted its official launch trailer, offering cinematic glimpses of character classes and intense boss encounters. The preview also gave fans their first clear look at the eighth and final Nightfarer, Revenant.

The trailer showcased Revenant wielding her distinctive harp-like weapon and revealed her puppet-like hands. Originally teased in the game’s 10-minute overview trailer, Revenant has not yet received a dedicated gameplay showcase. Enthusiasts must await further updates to learn the full details of her abilities.

The Night Hunt Livestream Event

Bandai Namco US announced via Twitter (X) on May 28 an upcoming livestream titled "The Night Hunt," where eight teams of three players will compete across three battle rounds. The event will be broadcast on Bandai Namco US's official Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok channels on May 28 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET.
