Electronic Arts, also known as EA, has launched a playtest for City Life Game with Friends on Android. This initiative falls under EA’s The Sims Project Rene. The time-limited playtest helps the team collect valuable feedback on game performance and player interactions.
The playtest is only available on Android. Your device must be running at least Android 12 and have 4GB of RAM. Please note, participation is by invitation only.
Players can enjoy the game until April 4, 2025, though closing times vary by region—7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest ends, the game will become inaccessible and must be uninstalled.
Please keep in mind this is neither the final game nor a complete preview of the potential finished product. However, the playtest provides a glimpse into the direction EA may be exploring. It’s clear EA is trialing a wide variety of creative concepts with this build.
After joining, you can design a character with a distinctive look and attitude that expresses your personal style. Your neighborhood is lively and full of activities. Visit the Thrift Shop to update your wardrobe, relax at the Café, or take part in local community events.
You and fellow players can team up to organize block parties, toss coins into the plaza fountain to make wishes, and search for hidden items scattered around. The game encourages social engagement and community-building by letting you connect over art, music, and meaningful conversations.
