The new year in *Pokemon GO* has been exciting with a variety of new Pokemon for trainers to catch. Following the introduction of Fidough, Shroodle is the next Pokemon on the horizon. However, obtaining this new addition isn't as simple as encountering it in the wild.
Shroodle, known as the Toxic Mouse Pokemon, made its debut in *Pokemon GO* on January 15, 2025, during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in *Pokemon Scarlet & Violet*, Shroodle is a fresh face in the Pokemon universe. After its initial event, trainers will have ongoing opportunities to add Shroodle to their collections.
At its initial release, Shroodle will not be available in its Shiny form in *Pokemon GO*. The Shiny variant of Shroodle is expected to be introduced in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokemon or involving Team GO Rocket.

Unlike many Pokemon that appear as wild spawns, Shroodle can only be obtained by hatching it from 12KM eggs. Starting from 12 AM local time on January 15, any 12KM eggs collected have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. The probability of hatching Shroodle may be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it will remain a part of the 12KM egg pool afterward.
Since Shroodle is exclusively hatchable from 12KM eggs, it's important to know how to acquire these eggs. 12KM eggs are considered rare and can only be obtained by defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders or Giovanni in battle. The Taken Over event is an excellent opportunity to gather 12KM eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more active and Rocket Radars easier to obtain. However, you can challenge Team GO Rocket Grunts at any time to face off against Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff and earn a 12KM egg, provided you have space in your egg inventory.

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuted in *Pokemon GO* on January 15. Unlike Shroodle, Grafaiai does not hatch from eggs or appear in the wild; it can only be obtained by evolving Shroodle. To evolve Shroodle into Grafaiai, you'll need 50 Shroodle Candies, which means you might need to hatch multiple Shroodle or set it as your buddy to collect the necessary candies.
*Pokemon GO is available to play now*.
