The project brings together an impressive creative team, with Castlevania's Adi Shankar producing and Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, X-Men '97) handling animation duties. Originally announced back in 2018, the series will debut with an eight-episode first season.
While Netflix is keeping story specifics tightly under wraps, early indications suggest we'll see Dante from the earlier game timeline rather than his Devil May Cry 5 incarnation. In an interesting twist, Johnny Yong Bosch - who voices Nero in the games - will be taking on the role of Dante this time around.
This anime revival comes six years after Capcom's excellent Devil May Cry 5 revitalized the franchise in 2019.
