Relic Entertainment, renowned for Company of Heroes, unveils Earth vs. Mars, a fresh take on turn-based strategy. This smaller-scale title, launching this Summer on PC (Steam), pits Earth against a Martian invasion. Players must defend the planet by creating unique creature-human hybrids using the Splice-O-Tron – imagine Squirrel-Cows and Human-Rhinos! Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Advance Wars.
Relic explains the premise: Martians have secretly visited Earth, abducting humans and animals to harvest their atomic energy. Now, a full-scale invasion is underway, demanding a desperate resistance. Players command Earth's military against advanced Martian weaponry, including saucers, grav-tanks, and elite warriors.

Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell states, "We're thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars formula, blending our signature style with elements from past titles." He further explains a new company strategy: Alongside their established RTS games, Relic will develop smaller, indie-style projects to explore new genres, experiment creatively, and increase release frequency.
