In the world of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll find yourself immersed in the thrilling chaos of ancient China, engaging in epic battles alongside iconic warlords. As you progress through the game, a critical decision awaits: choosing your faction. Here’s a detailed guide on selecting factions in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins Factions Explained

*Dynasty Warriors: Origins* unfolds across multiple chapters, with the first two chapters serving as an introduction where your character, the Wanderer, remains neutral. During this time, you'll assist the factions led by Sun Jian, Cao Cao, and Liu Bei, participating in major historical events like the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Battle of Hulao Gate.

The pivotal moment arrives in Chapter 3, where the game prompts you to choose a faction by the chapter's end. By this stage, you should have a good understanding of each faction, but the game offers additional battles to help you make an informed decision.

To advance, you must complete specific missions for each faction. For Sun Jian, you need to complete three battles, for Liu Bei, two battles, and for Cao Cao, just one. Once you fulfill these requirements, a new mission will unlock, forcing you to align with one faction. For instance, if you complete Cao Cao’s mission first, you'll have the option to ally with him or Liu Bei, but not Sun Jian if you haven't completed his missions. You can always go back and complete missions for all factions before making your final choice.

Once you've made your choice, the faction you didn't select will be locked out for the remainder of the game. This means you can no longer accept sidequests from their officers or increase your bond with them, potentially making your chosen path more challenging. For example, aligning with Liu Bei can be tougher due to fewer opportunities to earn skill points from sidequests because of his smaller initial command structure.

Each faction offers unique missions, so if you're keen on experiencing everything *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* has to offer, consider saving your game before choosing a faction. This way, you can reload your save and explore different alliances.

That's how you navigate faction selection in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*. The game is currently available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, inviting players to dive into its rich historical narrative and dynamic gameplay.
