Capcom has recently taken a significant step by filing an application to register the Dino Crisis trademark in Japan, which has now become public knowledge. Although this move doesn't confirm the imminent release of a new game, it certainly indicates that Capcom is actively considering new ventures within the beloved franchise.

By securing the Dino Crisis trademark, Capcom is potentially setting the stage for future endeavors, which might include a much-anticipated remake of the iconic dinosaur survival horror series. Launched in 1999 on the PlayStation 1, Dino Crisis was crafted by Shinji Mikami, the legendary creator of Resident Evil. The series saw two sequels but went quiet after the third game's release in 2003, leaving fans yearning for more.

These speculations are not without foundation. Last year, Capcom announced plans to "revitalize older franchises that haven’t seen new releases in recent years." This statement followed the announcement of projects like the Okami Sequel and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Moreover, a fan-driven poll conducted by Capcom in the summer of 2024 saw Dino Crisis topping the list in the "most desired continuation" category, adding further fuel to the hopes of its revival.
