In the latest issue of Nintendo's Summer 2024 Magazine, fans of the Splatoon series are treated to an in-depth feature on the game's beloved fictional music groups. The article, spanning six pages, focuses on an exclusive interview titled "The Great Big Three-Group Summit," featuring the idol group Deep Cut (Shiver, Big Man, and Frye), the duo Off The Hook (Pearl and Marina), and the iconic pop duo Squid Sisters (Callie and Marie).

During the interview, the artists delved into their experiences and collaborations within the Splatoon universe. Callie from Squid Sisters fondly recounted a memorable tour of the Splatlands, guided by Deep Cut. "I hope you appreciated it. We know where the Splatlands shine better than anyone," Shiver remarked, highlighting their pride in their home region. Callie enthusiastically shared her favorite moments, from the stunning vistas of Scorch Gorge to navigating the bustling crowds at Hagglefish Market. "Plus, there are all these super-tall buildings out here! Amazing! It was definitely a tour I'll never forget," she added.

Marie, ever the playful counterpart to Callie, teased her about the emotional impact of the tour and suggested a reunion with Off The Hook for their customary teatime. "I think Callie might cry at the memory of it," Marie quipped. Marina from Off The Hook agreed, proposing a visit to a new sweets shop in Inkopolis Square. Pearl extended an invitation to Frye, playfully mentioning their last karaoke battle, "You're invited too, Frye. We'll settle our score from the last karaoke battle!"

Splatoon 3 Patch Ver. 8.1.0 Live Now!

In addition to the engaging interview, Splatoon 3 enthusiasts received an exciting update with Patch Ver. 8.1.0, released on July 17. This update brings significant changes to multiplayer gameplay, including adjustments to weapon specifications and overall gameplay comfort. Nintendo emphasized efforts to "prevent unintended signals from being sent in certain situations" and to "alleviate the issue of scattered weapons and gear blocking sight."

Looking ahead, Nintendo plans to release another update at the end of the current season, promising further balance adjustments, including lowering the abilities of select weapons. This commitment to continuous improvement ensures that Splatoon 3 remains a dynamic and engaging experience for all players.
