As revealed by developer Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to receive an exciting new Zombies map in the near future. Read on for all the latest details about the Mansion and what players can expect!
Treyarch has officially announced a brand-new round-based Zombies map coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This will be the fifth new map introduced in the game, offering fresh environments and gameplay experiences for fans of the survival mode.
A sneak peek of the map was shared via the official Call of Duty Twitter (X) account and the Treyarch Studios X page. Posted on March 12, 2025, the image showcases the exterior of a grand but heavily damaged mansion, complete with flaming military vehicle wreckage, smoke rising from the windows, and fire spilling out from within.
The caption reads: “Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…” along with the hashtag #Zombies. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften is a well-known character in the Call of Duty universe and played a major role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Since Black Ops 6 is a reimagined version of that title, his return comes as no surprise.
Fans also noticed that the setting appears to take place in February 1991, based on the date visible in the teaser image. The timeline aligns with the narrative established in the previous Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting this new map may continue the same storyline.
One of the most notable features of this upcoming map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies. A fan commented on Treyarch’s Instagram post expressing excitement about facing off against multiple Amalgams on the new map, only for the developers to reply with a simple “Nope.” Known for their high health and devastating attacks, Amalgams are among the toughest enemy types in Zombies. Their exclusion could mean a slightly less punishing experience for players tackling this new challenge.
