In a recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Bethesda teased an announcement set for tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be broadcast live on both YouTube and Twitch. While the specifics remain under wraps, the prominent "IV" displayed in the announcement image, coupled with a background strikingly similar to a well-known piece of official Oblivion art, heavily hints at what's to come.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The whispers gained credibility with a leaked Bethesda release schedule from 2020, uncovered during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which suggested an Oblivion remaster was on the cards for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially cast doubt on the project, a subsequent leak in January of this year painted a different picture. It suggested that Bethesda, with the help of support studio Virtuos, was crafting a full-blown remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website further solidified these claims, showcasing images of the remake in development.
If these leaks hold true, fans can look forward to The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered launching on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition, featuring the iconic horse armor, will also be available alongside the standard version.
Don't miss out—tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an exciting confirmation and more detailed insights into this eagerly awaited remake.
