Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a comeback in the latest update for The Sims 4, bringing a touch of nostalgia to both PC and console players. Meet Robin Banks, the cunning thief who will sneak into your Sims' homes under the cover of night, targeting valuables when everyone's asleep. But don't let your guard down completely—Robin has been known to attempt daring heists even when Sims are awake, so stay vigilant!
To protect your Sims' belongings, consider installing a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will arrive promptly to arrest her and recover your stolen goods. Even without an alarm, you can still call the police, but you'll need to act fast. Alternatively, if you're feeling brave, you can take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.
The Burglar's return to The Sims 4, more than a decade after its initial release, adds a thrilling element to the game. While these events are relatively rare, you can increase your chances of encountering Robin by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.
"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team shared. "A special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
Despite being 10 years old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, and the series itself is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Last year alone, the game welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium game. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
