Bandai Namco is set to launch Digimon Alysion, a new digital rendition of the beloved Digimon Card Game, available on both Android and iOS platforms. This free-to-play game, announced at Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th, doesn't have a confirmed release date yet. Alongside this announcement, Bandai Namco shared updates about the continuation of Digimon Liberator with a new arc in April 2025, celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime with a special video, and introduced upcoming projects like Digimon Adventure: Beyond and a new RPG titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger for consoles and PC.
Digimon Alysion isn't just a direct port of the physical Digimon Card Game. It introduces a unique feature called 'DigiAly' cards, in addition to the original cards tailored specifically for this mobile version. Bandai Namco is also set to include new Digimon and characters, which adds a fresh twist to the game. Interestingly, the character lineup showcased on the website features an all-female cast, which has sparked some skepticism among fans expecting a more traditional adaptation of the card game.
This isn't Bandai Namco's first foray into Digimon mobile games. Their previous attempts have met with limited success, which has left some fans cautious about the potential of Digimon Alysion. Despite this, the anticipation for the game remains high. A closed beta test is on the horizon, though details are still under wraps.
