Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). This announcement was made through a detailed post on the PlayStation.Blog. These titles will be accessible to subscribers of the PlayStation Plus Essential tier at no extra cost, starting from April 1, and will be available until the next set of games is released on May 5.

The April lineup caters to a diverse range of gaming preferences. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and published by Nacon, stands out as a major draw for fans of first-person shooters. This game allows players to step into the iconic role of Alex Murphy, tasked with saving a crime-ridden Detroit. A significant update in January of the previous year added a New Game Plus mode, enhancing replayability. In our review at launch, RoboCop: Rogue City earned a solid score of 7/10, praised for its faithful recreation of the '80s atmosphere.

For those seeking a thrilling multiplayer experience, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an asymmetrical gameplay experience. Players can choose to either survive or hunt as part of the infamous Slaughter Family, engaging in intense encounters that simulate the terror of facing Leatherface. Despite some technical challenges, our review at launch rated it at 6/10, noting it provides several hours of engaging gameplay.

To balance the intensity, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco offers a more relaxed pace. This turn-based monster collector game, released in 2018, expands the digital world of Digimon with over 320 creatures to discover and collect. It provides a fresh perspective on the events of the original Cyber Sleuth story, making it an excellent addition for fans of the franchise.

As these new titles become available next week, PlayStation Plus subscribers should not forget to download the March 2025 titles before they are removed on March 31. The previous month's lineup, which included Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, was particularly noteworthy. Whether you're a current subscriber or considering joining, make sure to add these games to your library before the deadline.
