In a recent interview with Katee Sackhoff, a fellow alum from the acclaimed series Battlestar Galactica, Moore shared insights into his current projects. "Right now, I'm working on an adaptation of, there's a video game called God of War, a big title in the gaming world that Amazon has ordered two seasons of and they've asked me to come in," he explained. "So I'm literally in the writer's room, and working on that. That's my new thing."

Despite not being a seasoned gamer, Moore expressed his attempts at diving into the gaming world, mentioning classics like Defender, Asteroids, and Centipede. However, he humorously noted the challenges he faced with modern game controllers: "'Press R1.' Which one's R1? Oh, I'm dead," he quipped.

Moore, who will serve as the writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the God of War series, brings a wealth of experience from his work on iconic shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and as the showrunner for the 2000s Battlestar Galactica. Despite changes in the production team, Sony's Cory Barlog remains on board as an executive producer, ensuring continuity and fidelity to the original game's narrative.

The upcoming series is set to be based on the 2018 version of God of War, promising fans an adaptation that stays true to the beloved video game. Amazon's track record of quickly renewing successful video game adaptations, such as the Fallout TV show and Secret Level, suggests a bright future for God of War on the streaming platform.
