This Alienware Area-51 gaming PC configuration is now available for $4,999.99 after a $500 instant discount. It comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 32GB of DDR5-6400MHz RAM, and 2TB SSD storage. The Core Ultra 9 285K is Intel's latest flagship CPU, delivering exceptional performance for both workstations and gaming. Although it doesn't provide the substantial performance boost we hoped for compared to the i9-14900K, it remains Intel's top all-around CPU. The system features a massive 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler and a 1,500W Platinum power supply to keep everything running smoothly.

New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis

Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis retains the aesthetic of the 2024 R16 system but includes significant redesigns for cooling and updated components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window covers the entire side panel, eliminating the need for side panel vents. Instead, air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that results in a cleaner interior. The internal components have been upgraded with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest generation of CPUs and GPUs.

The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 stands out as the most powerful consumer GPU available. While Nvidia has focused on software updates, AI enhancements, and DLSS 4 technology to boost gameplay performance, the RTX 5090 offers a significant 25%-30% improvement in raw raster performance over the RTX 4090. It also features more (32GB vs 24GB) and faster (GDDR7 vs GDDR6) VRAM. However, this GPU is challenging to find at its retail price and is often sold for $3,500-$4,000 on eBay.
