Starting today, Amazon has lowered the price of the officially licensed WD Black C50 1TB Expansion Card for Xbox Series consoles to just $109.99 with free shipping. This represents a 30% discount from its original $158 MSRP and is the lowest price we’ve seen for an officially licensed 1TB Xbox expansion card since Black Friday. The C50 ranks among the best SSDs for Xbox—which isn’t surprising given the limited selection available.

List Price: $157.99 (Save 30%) | Now $109.99 at Amazon
The WD Black C50 expansion card is essentially a 1TB NVMe SSD inside a custom shell designed specifically for Xbox. Unlike the more involved SSD installation process for the PS5—which requires opening the console to access the internal slot—the WD card simply plugs into a dedicated expansion port on the back of the Xbox. It delivers the same speeds as the internal SSD, so you won’t sacrifice performance or face long loading times as you might with a standard USB drive. Adding this 1TB card doubles the storage on an Xbox Series X and triples the storage on the (white) Xbox Series S.
If you're in the market for an officially licensed storage solution—which we highly recommend—your choices are essentially limited to WD and Seagate expansion cards. That makes jumping on a good deal all the more important.
