Urshifu Debuts at Pokémon GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO approaches its conclusion, the thrilling Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through until May 27th. This week marks the culmination of your journey with Kubfu, leading to its evolution into the legendary Urshifu in one of two distinct forms: Single Strike or Rapid Strike.

To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike form, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead. The Final Strike: GO Battle Week offers the perfect opportunity to achieve these milestones and evolve your determined little bear.

In addition to the evolution mechanics, a Special Research tied to the ongoing Seasonal storyline will be available until June 3rd, 2025. Engaging with this research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's designated as the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you'll have the chance to encounter Gigantamax Machamp in six-star Max Battles for the first time. This event comes packed with several bonuses to enhance your gameplay.

During the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day, you'll need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. Your Max Particle storage capacity will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will feature Gigantamax Battles. Additionally, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain two extra Special Trades during this period.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains constant.
