If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, you're in for a treat with a lineup of exciting events on the horizon. The game is buzzing with activities such as the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, and nestled within the latter is the highly anticipated Catch Mastery event.
Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event takes flight from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event centers around Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. You'll encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with a chance to snag their Shiny versions.
Archen will also be up for grabs as a Field Research reward, with an enhanced chance of encountering its Shiny form. Plus, the event sweetens the deal with XP bonuses, doubling your XP for Nice Throws or better, and for Curveball Throws.
Don't miss out on the Timed Research, which challenges you to catch Rock-type Pokémon. If you're up for it, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, leading to a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.
Following closely is the Mega Absol Raid Day on March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Absol is set to receive a new Charged Attack, Brutal Swing, which will be permanently available post-event. This move packs a punch with 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT until March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be boosted to 20. Additionally, you can collect up to five extra free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, totaling six for the day.
